Arowhenua Native Nursery and Restoration is a Māori-led business dedicated to recloaking the whenua (land) with locally sourced native species. Founded in 2021 through Jobs for Nature funding, we've grown into Canterbury's leading provider of eco-sourced native plants and restoration services. Our vision aligns with DOC's aspirations for the Rakitata Awa, while serving the wider community's need for quality native plants and expert restoration services.

All our native plants begin with seeds eco-sourced from within the Arowhenua rohe

From the Waitaki Awa to the Rakaia Awa, stretching west to Kā Tiritiri o te Moana (The Southern Alps).
